The OpenQuote development project was set up on SourceForge at the beginning of 2008. SourceForge is the number one hosting facility for open source projects around the world, providing free resources for both the smallest and largest open source projects. As the OpenQuote project has grown, it has like many other large projects on SourceForge outgrown some of the free services provided, and so Applied Industrial Logic has sponsored the dedicated hosting of alternatives where required. However OpenQuote will continue to maintain a presence on SourceForge using both its SVN source code repository to hold the OpenQuote code, and the release repository to offer downloads of the latest stable releases. OpenQuote now hosts its own support forum, Wiki and bug tracking tools. These facilities are all available on this website. By hosting these facilities ourselves we are able to provide a more responsive and sophisticated tool set that can meet our needs as we move forward. From the inception of the OpenQuote project, SourcForge has provided free services that have proved invaluable, and whilst the project has now outgrown some of those services, the OpenQuote team is extremely grateful to Sourceforge for the fantastic help it has given us, and continues to give us.
